Guiding Physicians To
Prosper In Every Path

Dr. Bertina Marie Hooks is a board-certified internal medicine physician licensed in multiple states. She completed her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry at Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa in 1999. She completed her medical degree at Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska in 2006. She completed an internship in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Beaumont Hospital and Medical Center in Dearborn, MI in 2007 followed by an internal medicine residency at Creighton University Medical Center (now CHI Bergan) in Omaha, Nebraska in 2011.

Dr. Hooks has worked primarily as a hospitalist but also established her own primary care practice with a medical weight loss program and non-invasive aesthetics. She has been certified by IAPAM in Botox, dermal fillers, medical weight loss, and laser therapy and other non-invasive aesthetic treatments since 2016. She also has established a locums practice and practiced urgent care and occupational medicine.

Dr. Hooks is very passionate about prevention of chronic diseases such as high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, and cancer through lifestyle changes and nutrition. This inspired her to establish her own primary care practice and to expand into a non-invasive aesthetics and medical weight loss. Her passion for justice in medicine motivated her to become a medical expert witness, health care advocate, speaker, and author.

Her roles as a clinician, administrator, and entrepreneur helped her to become business coach and mentor for health care professionals who are experiencing burn out and dissatisfaction in their careers. She has helped physicians in different phases od the career define their passion and pursue clinical and non clinical opportunities such as medical expert work, utilization management, pharma, locums, telemedicine or medical applications. She provides 1:1 coaching and courses.

Her personal interests include painting and drawing, traveling, cooking, baking, reading, and spending time with her family. She lives in north Dallas Texas with her daughter.

She is pursuing her executive Masters of Business Administration and wants to become a certified physician executive in order to make an impact in health care reform.
